It's 2:17am (Columbus time) and we're currently sitting on the floor outside gate 116 at LAX. So far, our travels have been pretty easy. We leave for the 'big flight' at about 4am (Columbus time) and arrive in Taipei some 14 hours later. We then fly another 4 or 5 hours to Phnom Penh. Nooooo fun.
We're all pretty beat, but excited. Our sendoff at church was great; the prayers and songs re sure to carry us through the rest of our journey. Saying goodbye to my family was really rough this time. We were all very emotional, and we all felt like it came upon us more suddenly than usual. I have my theories as to why, but like I said before, it's 2am, and I'm beat. So I'm going to put the computer away and try to do something -- anything -- to stay awake until I get onto the plane.
